The Education for Adults with Disabilities Program provides noncredit instruction as a part of the Mt. San Antonio College School of Continuing Education.

Yes! We always encourage our students to ask for help when they need it. If the student would benefit from having assistance during class, the person providing that assistance is welcome. Mt. SAC does not provide these services, but our counselors can connect you with community resources who do. Anyone who attends class who is not a student must complete the AWD/IMPACT Volunteer Form each term. All volunteers are expected to comply with college policies and procedures on and off campus.
 

The administrative office of the Education for Adults with Disabilities Program is located on the Mt. SAC campus in Building 40, Room 109. Classes are held both on and off campus throughout the community.

Classes are offered at Mt. SAC, in the surrounding community, and online.

Course Modality refers to how a class is delivered by the instructor. 

• Face-to-Face Learning takes place at a physical location at specific days/times.
• Synchronous Learning is online learning that happens in real time. This means that you, your classmates, and your instructor interact in a Zoom call through Canvas at a specific time.
• Asynchronous Learning is online learning that happens both in real time and on your schedule. All asynchronous classes have a weekly live video call. In addition to the video call, you are responsible for doing some work independently. You will be required to read, watch videos, participate in online discussion forums, or complete assignments outside of the scheduled video call time. You have the ability to access and satisfy these requirements within a flexible time frame.

Classes are offered in four regular terms a year:

• Fall (August through December)
• Winter (January through February)
• Spring (February through June)
• Summer (June through mid-August)

There are over 10 faculty members assigned to the IMPACT Program. To ensure the best quality of education, all instructors are highly qualified and meet the minimum qualifications required by Title 5 of California Education Code.
